Astroworld guest with asthma recalls chest being crushed in stampede

Astroworld is a park in Queens, New York that was opened in 1991. It had been visited by millions of people until the tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening when it closed

A man with asthma who attended Astroworld in Houston, Texas on Saturday said his chest was crushed when he became trapped in a stampede. The incident happened during the show’s finale and left one dead and over 50 injured.

The “astroworld tracklist” is a guest with asthma who recalls his chest being crushed in a stampede. The story of the incident has been circulating on social media and news outlets.

After pleading for aid after his chest was crushed in the tragic stampede, an Astroworld festival-goer was told ‘not my issue.’

Ryan Kushner has been a lifelong Travis Scott fan and recently visited the rapper’s Astroworld music event in Houston, Texas. Eight people died in a severe crush when a large throng surged towards the stage, including a 14-year-old kid.

Kushner arrived with friends, but got separated from them in the throng, leaving him with his girlfriend.

He has asthma and said that ‘everything was OK’ until Scott came on stage.

‘I remember immediately being in the throng, I remember thinking I’m pretty pressed right now, it’s jammed, I was really squished,’ Kushner recalled on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

‘All of a sudden, everything sucked together, and I couldn’t breathe for a minute or two.’ ‘A ten means you can take a deep breath, a one means you can’t breathe at all, and I was around a two.’

‘I was able to get out, but others were mocking me and calling me names for attempting to flee,’ he added.

‘It just came out of nowhere, like insane amounts of shoving from the rear since I was in the center,’ said the victim.

When Kushner was being pushed, the individuals in front of him didn’t move, leading the mob to get tighter.

‘My back and chest are being squashed against individuals in the back who aren’t moving, so I’m just slowly being crushed… I was breathing normally at one time, but now I’m getting very little air.’

Even though his partner cried “he has asthma, he can’t breathe,” the music enthusiast said that people around him did nothing to assist.

He was able to gather enough oxygen to declare he couldn’t breathe at one point, but another festival-goer said flatly, ‘Not my issue.’

‘No one was trying to move,’ he continued.

Kushmer told broadcasters Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis that he was “puzzled” if Scott couldn’t hear people yelling in the audience.

‘I’m not sure how he didn’t hear it,’ he said, ‘but I’m not going to go into a conspiracy.’ Kushner went on to say that he ‘wants to say [he’s] still a fan,’ but that it’s ‘difficult’ because of the rapper’s and his team’s handling of the problem.

Scott’s girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, claims the rapper was unaware of what was going on until he exited the stage.

Kushner further said that he felt there was sufficient security to handle the 50,000 ticket holders, but that the event was unable to handle the ‘thousands more’ who had surged through the VIP gate earlier.

Scott has promised to pay for the funerals of those who died at the event, as well as to give mental health treatment to others who went. Several lawsuits have been filed, and the Houston Police Department is conducting an investigation.

ITV’s Good Morning Britain broadcasts daily at 6 a.m.
