Shaquille O’Neal is a retired NBA player of the Orlando Magic. His accolades are more than enough to say that he’s one of the greatest basketball players ever, and his salary in retirement does not disappoint either.
The “how old was shaq when he won his first championship” is a question that has been asked many times before. Shaquille O’Neal made $286M in the NBA, won 4 titles, and soon will have 11 more championship rings.
Shaquille O’Neal was perhaps his generation’s most dominating center. The 7-foot-1, 325-pound center won three consecutive NBA championships with Kobe Bryant before the big man added another trophy with the Miami Heat. Shaq could be able to add 11 more championship rings to his collection in the near future if all goes according to plan, giving him enough to occupy three hands.

Shaq and Kobe were one of the most deadly duos in the NBA when they were teammates with the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite reports that the two never got along, they worked well enough together to win three titles in a row from 2000 to 2002.
In the 1999-00 season, O’Neal averaged 28.5 points per game and led the league in scoring (29.7) for that three-year span. Shaq scored 28.7 points the next year, while Bryant contributed 28.5. They were capable of defeating you in a variety of ways, which they did.
In January 2020, Bryant was killed in a helicopter accident. The news devastated O’Neal, who pondered on his time in Los Angeles with Bryant.
According to Yahoo!, he said, “We are still the finest pair ever conceived.” That isn’t likely to change anytime soon. We not only won three (championships), but we also dominated three of them. “It didn’t even come close.”
In 2004, the Lakers were defeated in the NBA Finals by the Detroit Pistons. Following that season, O’Neal was traded to the Miami Heat, where he won his fourth championship in 2006.
Shaq is poised to add 11 more championship rings to his collection.

According to Spotrac, O’Neal made $286 million in his NBA career, including $166.5 million in his eight seasons with the Lakers. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he had a net worth of $400 million. O’Neal reportedly said that he intends to use part of the money to purchase 11 NBA championship rings from retired Boston Celtics player Bill Russell.
Russell was featured in a brief piece on Tuesday’s edition of Inside the NBA, where he would auction off much of his memorabilia to raise money for charity.
Items up for sale include his own trophies, rings, game-worn jerseys, shorts, signed souvenirs, and more. The auction will take place on Friday at HuntAuctions.com.
While Inside the NBA presenter Ernie Johnson was advertising the event, Shaquille O’Neal stepped in and expressed his want to acquire a piece of the collection.
He added, “I’d like to take some of that material off their hands.” “No one is going to outbid me on getting all 11 of his rings,” he says.
There will be almost 400 pieces in the Bill Russell collection.

Russell’s personal collection will be auctioned off starting at noon on Friday at TD Garden, home of the Celtics.
More than 400 pieces will be up for grabs, all from Russell’s personal collection. His MVP trophy, the basketball he used to score his 10,000th point, his 1956 Olympic gold medal, and, of course, his championship rings are among the high-end goods.
A percentage of the revenues will be donated to MENTOR, a non-profit that is leading the charge to ensuring that young people get much-needed assistance via mentoring programs. A separate gift will be given to the Boston Celtics United for Socioeconomic Justice to aid in the fight against racial injustice and social inequity in the Greater Boston area.
Russell is a 12-time NBA All-Star and an 11-time champion as a player. He has won the MVP award five times.
Russell has a long CV, and he’s willing to share it with everyone who wants to be a part of it. Of course, if you’re not interested in his championship rings, that is. Those are Shaquille O’Neal’s.
